NPC Control Coordinates

Hi,
According to the Coldstone User Manual, the Custom Coordinates for NPC Control can have tags as values. However, when I tried using tags, Coldstone complained that the values were invalid because values need to be greater than 0. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Thanks,
Gallandro

Hi,

Just tried this myself, and it worked: if your global variables are called, say, gb_Attacker_x and gb_Attacker_y, then you should enter &&gb;_Attacker_x and &&gb;_Attacker_y, respectively.

It took a little digging, but I found this on page 47 of the manual.

My bad -- tried it again just now and it doesn't work after all; I guess I forgot to click the + button in NPC control -- sorry for the confustion

There's been eight different threads on this, ending with a hack created by one of the board members...I've forgotten name and where it is posted and haven't patience at the moment to go back through posts for it (doesn't seem to be on plug-in page).

Anyhow, there is a bug preventing &&tag; values from being used in the coordinate boxes. The hack allows you to manually insert them into the file anyway, and they work fine then. We all hope the next version or patch (Dee, you listening?) will have fixed this problem, as it is essential for a wide variety of interesting modifications.

I'll redeem myself by posting the link to the article you're referring to:
