Adding *big* stamps to POG tricks

A question below about adding stamps reminded me of something I discovered the other
night, and thought I'd post it in a new topic to help others doing similar things(and
maybe others who have similar tricks/tips can post them here so I can learn more things).

I wanted to add an outpost(read: lots of walls, stationary objects in the compound,
building, etc) to an existing map in POG. Because POG maps have not been released we
cannot just open a map editor, we have to use stamps. And after struggling to line up
individual walls exactly using stamp placement tools, I thought there had to be a better
way. And there is.

I found that if you open up the map editor and create a new map you can create whatever
it is that you want to place. In my case I drew my outpost with the map tools(btw, I
used the layers mode, not the ground mode), and placed the inanimate objects that I
wanted within it.

I then used the feature "export as a picture file" and saved my creation as a .pct file.
I opened up graphics converter and cropped the image nicely. Since I didn't place any
"ground" on the map, the background is completely white. And I now had a picture file
of what I wanted.

I placed this picture file into my pictures directory and used it as a stamp. So that
instead of placing individual walls, I simply placed the 1 very large stamp of my
outpost, and everything in it was perfectly aligned(thanks to the map editor).

The only problem I had was then going back and changing cell access to every cell that
should be inaccessible and making them so. UGH!

I hope this "trick" helps someone out. And if anyone has other tips or tricks please
post 'em.
