I'm running OS 10.1.2 on a G4 cube. I'm using the OSX version of Coldstone. I haven't registered yet.
I made a new map to play around with and made a location to go with it... The problem comes when I try to use the "Tool" called "Create map preview picture". It unexpectadly quits Coldstone. Any ideas?
When I use the Classic version of Coldstone the problem doesn't exist.
ALSO: In this map I made one of the tiles doesn't display correctly on the walk-around screen, but does on the map screen. It behaves correctly (ie remembers the access I granted to it), just doesn't remember the right picture. This happens in both OSX and Classic. Ideas?

Try giving Coldstone more memory, if you've got a big map and you're trying to make the preview, it might crash.

OSX does all that kind of stuff for you... Memory allocation, I mean. And in OS9, where I have to play with those settings, the problem odesnt exist. My first thought, too.
I have that happen all the time with the OS X version too. Between that and other problems, I (reluctantly) run the OS9 version in Classic. It performs a lot better, is a lot easier to make maps with (due to having real pallettes), and it seems to have less strange crashes.
As for the map making bug, specifically, it worked most of the times I've used it in the OS 9 version.

I have this bug too, except it won't work for me in OS X or 9!!!
Maybe its something to do with having OS 10.1.2????

I am having the same problem.
Unexpected quit in 10.1.2 (X) on an iMac. Works fine in Classic 9.2.2.

Hey Ambrosia, are you reading these? I've already sent an email and no reply for 4 days now...WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT THIS BUG?
Dude, Llegs. Chill. They're kinds busy with stuff, I'm sure. I mean... unless there's some CRAZY trhing I don't know about no one's gonna die if it takes a while for them to get back to us on this thing. You're the most impatient Quendi i've ever heard of.
Sorry got a bit upset there lol.
Just Kidding Ambrosia, you're the best.
I had the same problem but in my case it was because I wasn't using PICT files as tiles in my map (I think I used JPGs). When I switched to pct fles saved at 16 bits/pixel it worked fine.
