Forgive me if this has been asked before, but will Ambrosia or Beenox be releasing any extra packages for Coldstone sometime down the line? Such as more graphics or sounds for those of us who have difficulty making our own, for instance. Also, will you guys who will make your own stuff be sharing some of it with the rest of the class? ^_^

I don't think there is anything official, but it is my personal opinion that we might see updates/new versions of Coldstone in the future. Dunno though, I suppose it depends on how well the first one is received. That means pay your registration fees!

someone said that coldstone will cost something like 45 dollars!!!! That seems like a lot. If that is the real number, why is it so much. And will we have to pay an extra fee if we want to release our own commercial game?
I don't know The Profound Pchan.....how much is my work worth to you :). What do you mean by stuff. Do you mean games, sound, or grafics (sp?) or all three.

Ok before you all Flame this nice fellow, think about it 45 dollars and a charge for released games would be asking a bit considering a high purcentage of games won't sell but I doubt 45 is offical and I dont know about the released game charge

OK, a few things need clearing up here. I estimated $50. That's a guess. No-one out of Ambrosia and Beenox know what kind of licensing agreement Coldstone will have.
If you think that $50 is high, then take into account that not only are you paying for a damn fine editor (the Coldstone Application), but you're paying for a very good game engine, and the license to use it any form possible, not to mention the hundreds of character sprites and terrain graphics. Now, compare this to doing the work yourself: ()Months of coding/debugging the game engine ()More months of coding/debugging the engine editor ()Even more months of creating high quality graphics ()Months sorting out all the administrative things such as website/distribution/news coverage
If you compare this Herculean task to spending a meagre ammount such as $50 (remember it's a guess :)), I think you'll agree it's a very good deal.

Yes. Keep in mind, not even the TESTERS know with any certainty yet.
