Hi, Ive decided to join you band of weridos for coldstone disscusion (I am new) I too, am trying to make a rpg (which has a 90% chance of never being finished) and have been lurking around different "rpg creation" sites with no luck (rpg maker 2000 sucks). I've always been a lurker for this page for at least a couple years now. More importantly I am excited for coldstone because my PC sucks and my Mac just kicks ass, and after playing pillars of Garendall all I can say is that im sticking with this. -vidiot- someone already has "vidiot"...damnit!

I am also very excited about Coldstone. I have a ton of ideas for RPGs (most of which will always be just that: ideas ), and like you, I have seen what it can do. One thing I am a little bugged by is the lack of turn-based combat, since I love Final Fantasy's fighting style, but the real-time is nice for some RPGs I want to make, anyway (better than turn-based). I hope that the release of PoG is a very good sign for Coldstone's progress.

Ok, how far is Coldstone from being done now? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? I really would like to know.

My guess (based on basic human laziness as well as the fact that if everyone did all they could to speed thing up it'd be shipping in three days) : 2-4 weeks before it is publically released for mac, and maybe another 2-6 weeks afterwards for PCs. Although, I think they could release CS for mac tomorrow if everyone at ASW was willing to put in overnight hours to upload and prepare everything.

posting this question in this thread got you the anwser you deserve. the topic WAS the newbie's enthusiasm for coldstone. Jeez Fox the only people who know work at Ambrosia and Beenox. so either post a New thread with your ????? so someone who might possible have a remote chance at answering it can see it or email the source and bugg them. OFF TOPIC: this forum will change drasticly when CGE is released just look at the old threads in the POG board they wander, they go nowhere, they whine, they moan and with the release of POG the fog lifts and the threads have topic and a lack of inaneness So with luck here too will change.
