Will it be possible to lock player and NPC movement to a grid(beyond the pixel grid, of course)?
------------------ Pokemon is awsome! Anyone why says otherwise is too old to get it. Go to the unofficial EV webboard site! Just click (url="http://"http://yoshi.zzux.com/phpbb/")here(/url) to go. That's where the Arorian Outlook is. Go to my ezboard, (url="http://"http://pub101.ezboard.com/bmousesboards")Mouse's Boards(/url)!
What do you mean a grid? In Coldstone, the movement/map engine is based on a tiles system, where you specify how big you want each tile of the map. This means, that when you move your character, you move him accross the tiles, the same with NPC's. This is similar to the Realmz/Exile engine, although instead of just appearing on the space you want, you can specify an animation as the player moves across (walking for example).
------------------ Ladies and Gentlemen, as you know we have something special for you at Birdland this evening. A recording for Blue Note Records... Let's take it back to the concrete streets, original beats and real live MC's... "We find it hard to strike a good balance between reality and fun. The reason being? Reality is often not fun." - _pipeline
Well, then the answer is yes, there is a grid. Thanks Necro.
