Self Help

Ok, this time for real. It seems to me that a lot of the topics recently have focused on different people looking for advice on what software to use in order to develop graphics, music etc for coldstone.

So I say we devote this topic to discussions, and preferably, to links to information on other products that we'll be using to develop our games. For example, a link to a tutorial on using AM or MacModPro or Photoshop. I say this becuase I know that I am getting into realms of design in which I have "no experience in. I think most people are, to varying degrees, in this boat too, so I think this topic would be a good place to concentrate the information we need (as opposed to across several posts and topics, surfing the net, or having to shell out $60 for a book on a program that may cost only marginally more than that. Since I'm new to the 3d world, I'm going to post this link for lightwave stuff, some of it's outdated and some of the links are broken, but I've still learned a lot from it.

Although I have to appologize that this isn't necesarily a coldstone topic, I think it will be helpfull to the coldstone development community.

Good idea, although once Coldstone is released, there will be a place were people can put links to various resources.

Ladies and Gentlemen, as you know we have something special for you at
Birdland this evening. A recording for Blue Note Records...

Let's take it back to the concrete streets, original beats and real live MC's...

(url="http://"http://www.blender.nl")www.blender.nl(/url) ----->how cool is that, freeware game industry oriented, beat yo mama down with a stick 3d program for nearly every platform (except mac which is coming out eventually). And actually, they have a bunch of freeware models, textures, and sounds, which will probably be more usefull actually now that I think about it.
