i found Coldstone b3 (i think) on an old mac addict cd i have... couldnt do anything with it, but its the thoguht that counts

Well, the old coldstone betas are nothing like the new one. The early betas were practically pre-alpha versions so of course you couldn't do anything with it.

beta 7 was technically supposed to be the 1.0 release over the summer, but it was prolonged til 8 and then ambrosia took control (now it's in real time,real time sucks, BOOOOOOO )
However if there is any versin that the latest version bears a close resemblance to its 8.
Say all you want about all the imrovements(fixing glaring problems) . I bet I could pick up the new version and not miss a beat from 8...

I've used the old version of Coldstone, it was to be able to generate games similar to older versions of realmz (though less expensive than realmz+divinity, but still inferior)

The "new" version is FAR better, it lets you make a new interface, thus being a complete RPG editor.

best of all, your games don't have to be emotionless drudging masses of code anymore

Another thing that seperates the new verson from realmz.
