I, like many other people, have had a life of inspiration I've been waiting to put into a computer game.
Now (well, before too, but this is going to be much better, I've seen the older beenox version) that is possible. And my favorite Software company (hey, you people made EV, Ares, Cythera and Avara! not to mention others!) is capitalizing on it. WTG!
Lately, I've heard that coldstone will not make any networkable games, though this isn't a very major issue (although some may dissagree) I've been wondering just why (url="http://"http://www.beenox.com/")Beenox(/url) is saying that it will make networkable games.
I'm guessing it was a feature you mearly removed, due to a programing error, or perhaps you mean to limit the digits of numbers of third-party net games floating around on the net.
Well, it's probably that either it's too complex, and I have no room to complain see it as I couldn't figure out to change the VERS resource in ares 1.2b6 with res-edit to correct the bad version number, let alone write my own net game. Or that ambrosia doens't want hundreds of net games floating around and lots of whiney kids asking Scott Kevill if their game can be on (url="http://"http://www.gameranger.com")GameRanger(/url) and then bothering everyone they have the email adress for when they don't get what they want or they get a major system error when they make a bad game without reading any of the provided instructions/readme's
But anyway, I was wondering if, (If aproved by AmbrosiaSW) special addon files or lines of code or something (whatever is used for that sort of thing) could be added, making it a networkable game.

I don't mean to complain or anything, and I probably wouldn't even get it if you gave a long-detailed description of the reason. And also, what's the fun in playing net games when you have to manualy connect

Q. Can I make a networkable game with Coldstone? (Features) submitted by andrew -- 10-12-2000 07:19 PM
A. No, you can't.
But then again, I see you've already commented on that.
What you're probably referring to is
Editor optimized to help team work (simple file system to easily exchange game elements over a LAN network or the internet)
Which I commented on in the "confusion" thread earlier.
BTW, drinking and posting don't mix.
