question 4 andrew: if we want to sell our game to ambrosia, when should we ask? when its half done, in beta, when its done...?

Well, I remember seeing a page on this site about the benifits and working with ambrosia, stuff like that. I think that page can be reached by going to the upcoming section. As for ambrosia actually publishing your games, I am sure they will be interested but I bet a lot of the games won't really be worth ambrosia's time and effort.

mine will :). (i hope)

I don't think you should be making assumptions about post production decisions before your game is actually made, make the game first, and if it's good enough, then think about selling it to Ambrosia.
good point
I'm not sure if my game would be attractive to Ambrosia...it may be a little too retro for their tastes heha

I hope that people won't try to make games that are similar to ones Ambrosia has made in the past or seem to fit with the whole Ambrosia "style" just to get liscenced! Just go for quality in your own mind. If you like it, chances are someone else will too. Variety is really important with the flood of games that are going to be coming out, and I don't want everyone trying to make what they think will please Ambrosia and not what they think is a good game. (I'm not, of course, saying that Ambrosia has bad taste. We just need variety! Don't go overboard on graphics if you don't think they're important, etc.)

I am not even thinking about working with ambrosia right now. I want to finish my game first, make it as good as it can be, then maybe talk to ambrosia about it. I wonder if andrew would even want to work with someone my age (15).
He hopefully will cuz i'm only 13.
