I'm pretty sure that this has been said before. But just in case nobody believes that there is actually user interest in it... An option I would like to see is the ability to make games in 2D as well as 3D. I have no idea if this is planned right now, but I think that a lot of potential users of the game might be interested in 2D options. It would allow those of us who don't know much about 3D to import our own 2D graphics, and it would allow those of us who grew up playing these sorts of games to make our own. I really hope this makes it into the game, cause there is a whole slew of windows editors that do this and nothing for the Mac (just take a look at (url="http://"http://www.rpgmaker.net)")www.rpgmaker.net)(/url). My 2 cents thanks, Austin

Yep, it's perfectly possible. (notes that he is almost completely sure, but never guarantees anything)

/me continually punches you people
It uses 2d graphics. the 3d graphics you see are merely 2d sprites. they were made in a 3d program hence they look 3d. you could go into appleworks, scribble a few stick figures, and import them into the game.

np. sry about the poking of fun, we people on the boards just seem to hear the same thing repeatedly... it seems that many of the actual frequently asked questions don't make it into the FAQ... something i've been thinking about... couldnt ambrosia put a chat room into this? unless im misinformed isnt there a lot of free software or some easy way to set this up? IRC is alright, but most people dont want to get involved with a large, somewhat complicated program to get into a chat, (im refering mostly to #ev3) but from what i see, it doesnt see nearly as much traffic as the webboards. now im just ranting.. but it seems that if someone had a question in a chat, it could be quickly and simply answered, and not be as large or annoying when posted as a topic on a webboard. now im done rambling, and will dance for your amusement. now if only i can find a gif of that dancing jesus from the simpsons...
Now for the reverse question: will CSGE support any 3D graphics? Or at least an isometric view?
About FAQ's: I hardly ever find anything of use in them. But I still give them the benefit of the doubt; sometimes they offer interesting (or mildly helpful) trivia. Still, I wish they really did answer the questions I wanted to the answers for....
