Interesting feature question: Would it be possible to define and enact character status? i.e., could a character be poisoned and take damage over time? Take more damage if they move? Slow down as they weaken from it? I can think of many interesting things you could do with a versatile system. The curses and blessings from Exile are an example - each blessing made a character strike harder and more accurately, while curses did the opposite.
On a similar note, the ability to define special terrain effects would be very interesting and add strategy. For example, if a magic lightning bolt strikes somebody who is immersed in water, they take double damage from extra electrocution. There could also be a range/accuracy advantage firing a projectile weapon from high ground to low ground. Possible?
