Huge screenshots of Coldstone in action

Dee kindly made some full-size (read: huge!) screenshots of Coldstone in action, working on an actual game -- we'll be releasing a game made with Coldstone simultaneously with the release of Coldstone.

This as-yet-un-named-game will not only show off Coldstone's capabilities, but it'll also be a huge, immersive, and enjoyable game in its own right. Check out the two new full-size screenshots on the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/news/upcoming/coldstone_betashots.html")Coldstone Betashots(/url) web page.

For the lazy, I've also provided links to them here: (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/news/upcoming/images/cs_screen3.jpg")screenshot1(/url) -- (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/news/upcoming/images/cs_screen4.jpg")screenshot2(/url)

Looks pretty good. I would probably prefer a game with smaller objects so you can see furthur but overall it looks pretty good. When you let us get Coldstone, will this scenario come with it? If it does, can we take a peek inside its programing to get ideas, help, etc?

I agree. Something smaller like Cythera (hint, hint ;))
But it looks very good.

I have no signature...my dog ate it.

Looks amazing Dee.

A co-worker was walking by and exclaimed 'Is that an editor for Baldur's Gate?' After explaining to him what it is he was thoroughly blown away.

I know that your original plans were to make the editor cross-platform. If at some later you decide to return to this model I imagine it would be a huge success for Beenox and Ambrosia.

Coldstone is definetly on my radar of things to watch out for. πŸ™‚

The size of the objects will depend of the scenario creator and I ask too if this scenario will come with the game.

No, it will be a separate download (assuming we make them available online, not on CD). Nothing has been decided yet.

Looks good. But what I want to know is what amazingly cool spells I will get to use to "dispose" of the 20 orcs Dee is putting in... πŸ™‚

That is pretty darn cool. I am glad we have bigger picture use now. It really will add some life to our games.

Or Apocolypse from Diablo, possibly Fireball from Blades of Exile (well, just within a decent radius), etc.

I wish I had a monitor that big... Oh well.
I remember apoc from Diablo I.
It looks like the screenshots were taken on a french computer (Mard is french I think)

Shouldn't that be "The geek shall inherit the earth."

I've heard that the PSX RPGMaker 'game' includes a demo scenario that is a tounge-in-cheek tutorial staring a goblin who aspires to become a Boss one day... It culd be a good idea to make a short included scenario that is essentially a feature demo/tutorial!

Yeah, I think the whole development team is french (excluding ASW of course). There will be a tutorial game supplied with the full thing as well.

Heh, French.

Attn: I am not making fun of the French. They are cool people.

A scenario is done before the engine and editor?
