I'm dying to get my hands on this engine for at least a year and a half (it's been so long I can't remember.).I must say it is definitely looking sweet(movies and the screens). How long do you estimate it will be till "" drops?

Excuse my ignorance, but why on Earth are you NOT estimating the BETA of ColdStone? Is it REALLY that far from done? I can understand not wanting to give a release date if its far off because it will defiantly change, but from the looks of the movies it has a good portion of it done. Oh well, I'm sure you have your reasons...

Coldstone alpha 1 has been released right on schedule and about 70% of the graphic content for POG is done. I let the release notes speak for themselves (since I am very tired :)).

We're not estimating when it will be in beta, or when it will be released, because we don't know for sure -- there's plenty of work to be done, and our crystal balls are broken, we can't predict the future.
We could give a rough date, but from our experience, people will just bitch and scream immaturely if we happen to miss that rough date. So, there are no release dates announced, and that will continue to be the case.

POG is an abbreviation for the game that will ship the same time Coldstone does -- it's a full-on fantasy RPG created with Coldstone.

They don't want to estimate because any number of things could happen during development -- and then people would be all: "You said the beta would be done by MM-DD-YY..."
