wait a minute....

quote from FAQ: The game editor itself (Coldstone) will be Macintosh-only, however we're working on the ability to create games with Coldstone that run on both the Macintosh and Windows.

Hey Dee; wasnt there supposed to be a windows version of coldstone that you would start working on after v1.0 of the mac version? since ambrosia got into this project everything seems so..... different.....

Yeah, that's what I am talking about. A bunch of PC people were hanging around here, and even Winterblade bought a PC thinking ColdStone would work on Windows eventually. But alas, all things have changed.

There's information on this in another thread. Here's the quote from http://www.AmbrosiaS...TML/000001.html

Hate to break it to you, but Beenox still "...has control of the project". Complete, total control. You're putting up straw-man FUD for no discernably good reason.

It was Beenox's decision for the editor to be only on the Macintosh, primarily because the development tools used to make Coldstone are not up to snuff on the PC side of the fence currently. If this changes, it's highly possible the "party line" will, too.

OH!! So all PC users should yell and send dead cats in the mail to Dee 🙂

Well, I guess that is understandable, but I honestly doesn't effect me luckily because I use a Mac. Also, how large IS Ambrosia? It seems like the perfect game company.

Windoze drones can always use 'RPG Maker', I keep on seeing links for it when I search on Altavista. As for Ambrosia, their fairly large, based in upstate New York (Rochester I think), oh, and they make the best Mac Games in the world... 😉

But i'm sure that Coldstone will open a multitude of possiblities....

No i dissagree i thought Cythera was pretty cool you just had to stick with it
it had a good storyline and a pretty immersive world it was wayyyyyy better than Exile
and Avernum and agoura and all those other sad @$$ed Ultima Ripoffs.
