Hi everyone!
First post to the Ambrosia boards but not the last for sure. I am Dee Brown, lead programmer here at Beenox, a cool game development company based in Quebec city (up north, in Canada) with 6 employees working full time. We are working on the Coldstone game engine project for some time now and we are quite happy to announce that we will now work in conjunction with Ambrosia to publish our beloved product.
This will be a really great development tool that is sure to please. Let us know what you think on this board!
If you want to know more about our company, visit (url="http://"http://www.beenox.com")http://www.beenox.com(/url) or if you just want to learn more about who is working on Coldstone, go to (url="http://"http://www.beenox.com/staff.html")http://www.beenox.com/staff.html(/url) .

It looks cool. Keep up the good work. (and include a large library of graphics for poor fools like myself who can't draw. )
------------------ And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans. - Douglass Adams
Hello. It looks neat, and I do admit that some cool graphics would be nice-I can draw but don't have the utilities to do so.

yeah, I agree
------------------ I bought a Venus Fly Trap today. I was going to name it "Republican", but the Fly Trap is benifical to the environment. I'll save that name, one day I might find a plant that eats poor people and minorities. It looks very good, perhaps you should also make some sort of online image library where people who CAN draw can post images And other people, those who can only write stories can use those. You could also use the same module system for souns and perhaps interfaces.
When a coldstone module is finished, and exported as a game (?). Can other coldstone users rip everything out of that game and use it in their own modules?

Can we say copyright infringement, considering the fact that most of us will be selling our games as shareware or even commercial products what you are proposing would be nothing less than infringing upon copyrighted material. So basically, no, you cannot 'rip everything out' and use it for your own.
Hot damn. I've always wanted to make a game. Let me get writing on that plot...

yea. but if you got your pic of the database you wouldn't be able to say anything.

Yes, true, but I wanted to make the point perfectly clear that some of us are paying artists for their work, I wouldn't want something I paid for to be original in my game used by others. Sorry, my idea of sharing stops at free stuff.
------------------ If it's not on fire, its a software problem.
I don't think wishes are really necessary. This project will succed(sp?) because it is a good idea and it also is supported by Ambrosia, who has proved time and again that it is the best gaming company on the net.

Oh yea, hello Dee. Your product looks great and I am just hoping that it comes out with more of the great stuff that has already been shown. Have fun, it is not every day you come up with a genius idea.
