Hello!
Coldstone looks very, very cool. Anyways:
Will there be any Ambrosia project to put the Cythera universe in ColdStone? If not, would any old person ( ;)) be able to transfer it?

If Ambrosia doesn't do it, I'm sure some crafty person from these webboards or else where might be up to it, like a friend of mine is porting EV into the Ares engine.

I was porting EV to Coldstone in the form of Escape Velocity: Ground Zero but seeing as then the engine was designed for a medieval game, it kind of slowed down to a standstill. When it gets published by Ambrosia though, I may begin developing again if I get some help this time.

AHHH!!! This engine is NOT for medieval games, it is for ANY type of RPGS!!! Also, it's tile based, so anything like EV would be impossible.

I think he was talking about the old Coldstone, that was Beenox only.

I know that. It's just that when was the last time you heard of a sci-fi game with magic and fireballs. There is probably a few, but it was really designed for medivel games in mind. I was working around it by not having any references to magic, and deleting the magic UI fields, but now it looks like I wont have to. Oo! That's a good point:
In the original Coldstone, when it came to making an interface, you were supplied with a set of fields that told the computer what information to display. For example, if this were EV, there would be a 'Shield' filed and a 'Fuel' one placed where the shield and fuel bars are in the game. In this version, will we be able to create our own? I found it very restricting before.
