Hello everyone,
FINALLY!!! I've gotten around to playing that last level, and Earth is now liberated (on my hard drive, at least :p)...After all the help I recieved from the friendly Ares web-folk, I decided I ought to let all of you know.
Also, if anyone has any information on the following, it would certainely be helpful:
Are there "secret levels" and if so, how does one reach a secret level?
Does anyone have a clue when EV3 is coming out? Or the release of Ares 1.2 and Hera?
Why was the meaning of life being auctioned off for $1 on Ebay awhile back (no joke--it was in a magazine; American Heritage or US News or something...)?
Aside from that, I'm glad to see that finally someone's gotten the idea to port Ares over to EVO...and I heard about someone trying to combine Marathon Infinity and EVO into one app, too...wow.
Oh yeah...and check out my insane website: (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/flyingmoron")www.geocities.com/flyingmoron(/url) It doesn't have anything on EV or Ares...yet.

Yes, there are secret levels in Ares. Slug made a plug-in that makes these levels available, or you could go in with Res-Edit and change the level restriction. It is not much that you are missing out on, though. Mainly the "Space Race: The Musical" level that you see if you leave Ares alone for a few minutes. Only fun the first hundred times.
No, I have no clue when EV3 is coming out. Hera and the next version of Ares are already in Public Beta, so you can get them now. I have no idea when they are going to be released fully.
I missed that auction. I could have gotten a good deal. I wonder if this means that the owner has exclusive rights to the number 42. Like, whenever an equasion comes out to 42, the owner of the meaning of life gets paid a royalty. Humm.... Hehehehe!
------------------ Now we can all rejoice because Hera is here!
Well, you have three questions, and I have three answers. I'll start with number 2.
2. I have no idea when EV3 is coming out, but if you check out (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/news/upcoming/")http://www.AmbrosiaS.../news/upcoming/(/url) it says no eta on beta, that means that Ambrosia doesn't know ether. And as for Hera and Ares 1.2.0, theyre in public beta, but I have no idea when they are going to be released, theyre still really buggy.
3. I don't know why anyone would buy the meaning of life. But I can tell you what it is, according to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy it's 42. Of course, to know what that means you have to know what the question is.
1. Sort of, you can play the demo only level called Space Race, and you can play a tutorial level. To do that just go to (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/ares/addons.html")http://www.AmbrosiaS...res/addons.html(/url) download Secret Levels and do what the Read Me (or Dont Read Me) says. Note: you dont have to replace the original scenarios, just move them out of the data folder.
Oops, hehe, I started typeing that post an hour ago then got destracted and didn't finish it till now. Ah well.
