I would like to bring attention to the date of June 30, for it is the Birthday of Matt Burch himself!
As the original creator of EV, let us honor him in our own minds and hearts. Without Mr. Burch Escape Velocity, its sequel Override (to say nothing of 1.0.2), and the entire EV/O universe would never have come into existence, nor any of the major scenarios we have come to enjoy over the years (Frozen Heart, EVGE, Final Battle, Galactic Scourge, and F-25 just to name a few). Even more than this, not only would the games have never existed; the EV community itself would never have come together as it has over the past few years.
For all of this, and more, let us honor his Burchness, the God of Escape Velocity.
