Level 13

I've gotten up to level 13 fine, but now I'm stuck on 13. I always get stuck on the part where the giant ship (the Mothership I think) destroys the liner with the giant beam. Please assist me.

I'm Confused.

Follow these steps:

1. Wait for the Gatori pirates to warp in near to you

2. Once you've destroyed them, go and retrieve all the escape pods.

3. Then go to the jumpgate and rendezvous with the tractor tug.

4. Make both Heavy Cruisers escorts you, and go after the Salrilian carrier, the "mothership".

5. Destroy it quickly by firing all weapons at it all at once

6. Destroy the other Salrilian ships and then rendezvous with the tractor tug again

I had trouble with this one, back when ares was soooo hard. I asked about it and everyone said "It's so easy". And it is when you know how to do it. The most important thing is to get up close. I made the mistake of trying to use missiles. get in there and remember to start firing fullerenes as soon as it hypers in. Another tip. If you scale out to about 1:16 veiw, you can take the gatori gunship before it can do anything to you. It's the only ship that does any damage to you. If your still stuck, you can keep restarting the mission, until the liner is drifting toowards the jumpgate, and don't collect the Escape pods untill it is on the gate. This way it gets out before the salrillians (the black ships) can do any damage to it. Note: I never did this it's cheap. I was just told about it.
