Blue Switch in Factory

How do I get to the blue switch in the factory? I have the superwave gun, but it still can't reach it (from either side)!

Any ideas?

Have you ever played billards? What happens to the balls when they hit the side of the table? Is there anything in the game that behaves in a similar manner?
