Lower Sea of Lava

Well, I finaly (bearly) maneged to get passed the lower "sea" of red dots (lava). But for all of you who are trying I do not recomend it much (DEMOS). It's just a dead end. 2 questions: Where can I get the green gun? And how can I distroy the switch if it is inside the wall?

Don't get too worked up over that part, explore other parts and continue the game, and it will eventually make sense.
