The main Ambrosia Darwina page on the right under "In Brief" says: "Extras: In-game map editor". What is this in-game map editor and where can I find it?
You will get access to it when you beat the game.

Yeah, if you head over to www.darwinia.co.uk there's a whole mod community you can dip into. Look around the forums and check out some of the fansites for some idea of what's being done.
