heh, this is actually funny... I was going to write another stragety article about psychological warefare on Ares multi... Confusing the other player with lots of small, weak weapons was going to be a big one... Damn you!

No one here needs your kind of redemption.

The Gaitori Pellet Guns do a darn lot of damage, but they are so short range you can't get close enough to the enemy ship without bouncing off.

The pellet gun is an amazing weapon. If it were on Gaitori fighters, they'd be better than gait cruisers. It's just that you never get to use them, because gait ships are slow and die fast, and they turn like turtles. If their carrier had a turreted, longer range pellet gun, it would not be the subject of ridicule. It's instant damage, it scares you, it makes a cool noise... Range and the ships it's mounted on hold it back though. I want to resurrect it in any Hera plugs I make.

Probably the largest drawback to the pellet gun is its incredible hunger for energy. It creates a huge energy drain if you fire it continuosly.

I hear that Slug is making a plugin with that or something

Hey Bozorg, where's your quote from - it's cool.

I like the idea of using pellet guns. Why the heck do they need energy? Aren't they just a machine gun? I think that, in future plugs should make it take an incredably tiny drain, because it would go to feed the motors that feed the bullets into the cannon. Also, the Gatori caould be turned into a chaep-o race in a plug. Not as in cheap-o meaning bad. As in a fighter costs one fourth of an energy thingie. That way you could have a ton of teeny weeny bad ships that can only run up to a target, shoot off a few rounds, and be killed by a fighter. That would add an interesting twist to strategy. Then the Gatori could be something other than a joke.
