Hector makes for some horror stories
(FONT=Arial)The night was dark, as was his dreams. He saw pillars of smoke floating through space, and one man just walked through it. Actually, he flew through it in his starbridge. His arsenal was fueled by thousands of weapons, and many wondered how he fit it onto a small starbridge. Whenever he landed, he struck terror at will, seemingly having the power to bend time and space. Noone knew who his first mate is, and many were too curious...Noone ever found out, so they began to make up stories. "She was a wraith, embodied in a humanoid form. She was strong in mental capabilities. Of course, she produced that horrible solar beam." they would say. The entire universe feared him, as they were known to cause the death of thousands of millions for seemingly no reason. And he was rich enough to replenish his ammo, which seemed to never run out (although whatever unethical person would do this is really a sick freak). Survivors have come and landed, with only two words on their lips, "Captain Hector!" It would take weeks for this to wear off. Of course, Captain Mesermy had heard all of these tales. He had helped to spread them, but he was shrouded in the past. Not even his first mate knew where he came from, and he never seemed to grow any older, just more tired. When Mesermy woke up, he was sweating, it had happened for weeks, every time he fell asleep, he dreamt of Hector splattering his blood all over his solar panel. It was twelve at night, and he wandered into the control room, where his first mate was busily working on a new program. He drank some coffee, asked her how life was, and settled into his comfy control chair. Suddenly a message appeared on the central screen, "I TRIED TO WARN YOU TO PAY YOUR REGISTRATION FEE, OLD FRIEND, NOW YOU'RE DEAD." His first mate wheeled in her chair to see the screen in a few seconds. Explosions rattled through the ship as it came apart piece by piece, they both ducked their heads instinctively as one of the panels of the roof came off of the wall, and crashed through the main head of the ship. As his first mate was sucked into the abyss of space's horrible vacuum, Captain Mesermy fell into a deep sleep... When he awoke he was on Mars, and he was angered. However, the one word on his lips was revenge...
