Admiral Blake flew his UE Fighter towards the planet. "A UE fighter?" most people asked. Blake had soaped it up. High Shields, 5 Blaze Turrets, 2 rocket Launchers, 65 Rockets. A single person UE Destroyer. Blake knew the mission was simple. Fly to a Voinian research base. Land on the station, collect a sample from the science labs of a new chemical, and fly out. Blake had the newly installed cloaking device which was capable of landing on stations and planets unnoticed.
Blake scanned for ships. "Hmm, that's odd. Nothing on the scanners but static, but I swear that is a Heavy Fighter right there above the station."
Admiral Blake landed on the station and made it to the lab without any trouble. Blake took out his Blaze Pistol and walked into the Room. He heard the humming of instruments doing their job. A Voinian walked into the room. "Huh!?" It said as it reached for it's Proton Pistol. Blake took a shot and hit him square in the chest. The Officer went flying over the counter smashing some equipment. Blake shot down a stunned officer as he ran by. He scanned for the chemical and grabbed it, killing any officers in sight.
Blake ran for his ship as a squad of Voinians came around the corner. Blake dove for another hallway as alarms went off and firepower from the Voinians' pistols went whizzing by. Blake shot and took out one of the troops. He started running down the hallway he was in as a Voinian followed behind. The officer took a shot and hit Blake in the shoulder.
"Ah!" Blake screamed as he hit the floor and slid. Blake dove as another shot hit just where he was. "Good thing I paid for those teleporters" he wheezed as he pressed a button and materialized on his ship. Blake piloted off with the chemical as a massive ship appeared off the port bow. The ship fired a missile of some sort at the station and suddenly disappeared. The missile collided with the station causing a massive explosion.
"Alert! Unknown substance being carried by a shockwave is proceeding towards the ship" said the computer. "Damn" shouted Blake. The shockwave and chemical came right close to the ship as he de-cloaked. Blake slammed the button for hyperspace and shot off as the first bit of chemical hit.
A small portion of the chemical had attached to the fighter though, as the wounded Blake traveled through hyperspace....

Did you mean turrets or standard guns?

It's a nice beginning. Although when you said that 'Blake took a shot and it hit him square in the chest,' I originally thought that Blake had been shot in the chest, not that he had shot the Voinian.
