hope the horse is fine again, i have heard how hard it is to get a horse back on it´s legs...ryoko, have a nice glas of warm tomato-juice mixed with 2 raw eggs, a lot of salt, and - you´ll like this: a bit of vodka. stir well. get well soon (if not already)

I used to be good at that, once upon a time! (Except, having said that, you're all going to turn out to be fluent in that too, so perhaps I'd better keep my linguistic ignorance to myself!) **
i think many people would be unchallenged with french - so i thought russian might be an idea.

The only problem that I have with Russian, is that I ... ehm... well... I'm really embarrassed of this obvious lack of gentlemanly sophistication ... to say it frankly: I don't have a Cyrillic script. Only Latin... So sorry :frown: Could anybody tell where I could get one? My old Cyrillic type writer will be no good for this web board I'm afraid...
Since this topic is already off course, I'm changing the topic to "Lumisa's Party Bar". That way you can discuss whatever you like here in the bar. Have fun.

well, really: shame on you! but i admire you for having the courage to say it aloud, even though you knew how embarrissing that is! so, don´t worry, i´ll send you the script, we´ll turn a blind eye and forget about this little slip-up.
thanks number 279, even though i was hoping the topic would be closed before i have to prove my russian skills...but for now i am very glad, and i´m sure you will agree with me, when i say (in russian, and you do have the script don´t you?) : ??? ????? ???? ???????? ??, if you know what i mean.

Uh, lumisa, that has just as many questions marks on this computer as my work one. Not that I could understand Russion anyway ^_^;
Anyways, this will have to become porbably the longest ever topic on any discussion board if it makes it through to next year ^_~

oh, ryoko, sorry....you haven´t been drinking again have you?? if not it just MUST be the script...so i guess, i´ll just have to forget about the russian birthday. what a pity! so we´re back to japanese, or maybe french...for god sake we have quite a lot of time to discuss the language (even though in my "queen-mum-ly" age time just flies....sigh). but since sweet number 279 didn´t close the thread, you are very welcome to celebrate your birthday here (lots of alcohol garantied!) - which of course would have to be in japanese again (everybody knows that your english is quite far from perfect...). then hyko could change his phrase to "speak japanese!!!" (only of course if someone would be impolite enough to try and say something in english)
