Things have been happening here in pop-pop land. First we have gotten at least 1 tournament a week. We just got our pop-pop tournament email list up and off the ground.
We are working on an update to our web site, mostly so it won't suck any more! Synotic is lending a hand!
Another thing that I am going to do, is I would like to kick life into the #pop-pop on IRC chat. It would be cool if we could find a client for Mac OS 9 / X. This client would be dog simple, double click and you connect to #pop-pop. That way people who are not able to figure out IRC would be able to connect.
We may start having chats like an hour or so before tournaments. Or just chats in general. I would be willing to sit and idle in the chat room to moderate it, and I am sure Number279 may be willing to do the same as well. Does anyone know of some good IRC clients that are free/open source for Mac OS 9 / X that we would be able to tailor to just #pop-pop?

There are some opensource irc clients that let you do that. Connect to a single channel and server for irc newbies.

Do you have any links for me?

It kinda stinks that playing pop-pop kills the IRC connection... at least, it does when you're using Snak. Is there any way around this problem?
I remember when it was first released that Pop-Pop killed an IRC connection under OS9, that could be your problem.

No doubt. Well, when I have $129.00 burning a hole in my pocket, plus maybe some extra for some more RAM and a new video card, then everything'll work wonderfully.
The channel is really dead now. Nobody's there but a couple bots and Andrew's silent doppelganger, and zambezi is asking for ops every minute on the minute. So even if somebody wanted to have a conversation in the channel it would be constantly interrupted by the oddly pathetic singleminded pleading.

I let Andrew know and this has been corrected, thank you for keeping an eye out!
