I was looking at the download section of the pop-pop website and noticed that there were only about 280 downloads of pop-pop, and another 180 people who downloaded the update needed for the expo cd. However, this doesn't take into account the number of people who got the game from other sources, like the ambrosia or macaddict cd, and also includes people who have the game but don't go on the tracker. I noticed on the online tracker there was a counter that told how many people had been on since the tracker had last been down...is there a way to find the total number of people who use the tracker? Is there somekind of privacy issue in releasing statistics on who's on how much? Maybe this kind of information could help reassure people who don't think they could find games if they invested in registering pop-pop...then again, it might be discouraging. Nonetheless, I think it would be interesting...thanks!
Those stats aren't good ones to go by. Everyone who hits the main "download" page is actually downloading it from MacGameFiles.com -- the download stats there are:

Thanks, andrew. I should have seen that! over 40,000 downloads is quite a lot, i suppose. It would be great if that many people were consistently using the tracker! (except for overload problems of course...i suppose it might not be able to handle that many poppers...) thanks :)
