It was like completely spontaneous. The game was going fine, it was the 1st round and it was getting kinda intense. Then, out of nowhere, this message, and I go back to the tracker. This has happened to me one other time as well. What gives? The game didn't seem laggy at all...

I have seen this happen quite a lot, especially when playing AOL users...

My cable modem has been spontaneously disconnecting me for a couple months now. This happens in both pop-pop and AppleShare IP when the traffic gets heavy. I'm still trying to isolate the problem.
In the meantime, if you choose the Show Frame Rate from the File menu, you will also see a summary of (totally undocumented) network statistics. With a little practice, you can see network problems as they develop.

In the past, AOL has been known to spontaneously change the IP of a user mid-session. I can see how that might cause problems
