Common Courtesy

When you enter a host's games - don't go changing the settings without first asking. You've entered THEIR house - you ask permission. They have their game set they way THEY want - if you want to change you can ask - but changing it without asking is kinda crass.

Actually, I really think this should be a preference setting in the game. Lock Host Game Options.
