Oh come on, of course thats winning. During the beta test, I used the bomb strategy a lot, and I could beat anyone. Then people started beating me. Then I stopped using the bombs. These things work themselves out, there's no need to get upset or even worry about it.

I tend to play on P or P+ depending on how good I feel. I'm certainly better than an N, but I get beaten about 25-30% of the time so don't consider myself close to an M yet.

The way I look at it, the rank isn't for you but for the game... I may not be an elite master, but that's the kind of game I want to have...I want to play a frantic, expert game when I've got the M+ on.

and I also agree that the N, P, M and their + forms are more to indicate the style of play the hoster wants, not necessarily how good he/she is. If i'm not feeling frantic, I'll put up an open/hard/2 or 3 to win and call it P+. anything on expert I usually mark as M, because it gets nuts (and newbies die instantly on exp, then go "why did they come so fast!")

Talking about difficulty levels and time taken to beat people, I beat forge (yes forge) in 21 secs and he says he is P+, so i think I'm M then. Also people might win because they use a cheap tactic (bomb spamming) and think their M+, but if they didn't use it they would be N. Just my two cents.

I've just discovered two more instances of this - I just played 'Brittany' and 'DEMO sennah' on the tracker - they both rated themselves M+ and had game titles like "play me if ur good" and "warning: im good!". I trampled Brittany 3-0 in about 5 minutes, and I beat sennah 3-2 with two tiebreaks. I rate myself as a P+ usually, and Brittany was an N+ or P. Sennah was a P+, definitely, but neither were anywhere close to master elites.
To piss me off further, both disconnected immediately at the end of the game without so much as a 'gg'. :mad:

People can be bad sports and have over inflated egos. I make it a a point to always say good game. Just let em be whiners and pop on!
