I just downloaded it today and when I try to open it I get the message pop-pop could not be opened becase <<pop-pop>> could not be found. So what can I due about this bug? have pop-pop 1.01

The question was asked in that topic but no answer the worked was given. So anyother ideas beside redownloading it. I already did that twice one from ambrosia and one from the other site you link to
I would say try upgrading to OS 9... or go right to OS X. I know pop-pop says it runs on 8.6 systems - but that may be plain vanilla 8.6 systems.
Did you try turning off any other extensions other than the basics and InternetConfig?

Do you have InputSprocket installed? pop-pop needs this to run, and this error would happen if you do not have ISp installed.

Yup I have that installed but same error. will have to eait for the update I guess
