I go onto the tracker and see that someone is asking for a register code for pop-pop. Right there in the subject of their game, no shame at all! There are many people that think "oh, well it is only $25, what is the difference?" And you know what, it is a huge difference. If 4 people pirate pop-pop, that is $100 right there.
If you don't have a credit card, then send check/money order/cash. If you don't think the game is worth $25, then don't play. I strongly encourage other players who people asking for serial numbers not to play them!
And remember, your serial code is based on your name, so if you give it away, it is trackable back to you.

Every game will have people like that. You just have to look past them and hope ASW has developed some amazing anti-piracy stuff.

Say, does Pop-pop check the serial code when you get on the tracker? I mean like how Blizzard games only allow one CD-key on Battle.net at a time. I bet that would really cut down on pirating.

We appreciate your advising these people to purchase the game. All we ask is that you remain friendly and helpful, and let the pop-pop community grow and evolve. Please avoid flaming or insulting people, even on our behalf.
pop-pop recognizes when 2 players use the same license code, and will only let them play 1 set (as if unregistered) if they haven't purchased 2 full copies. This should discourage people from leaking, or using leaked, codes. And yes, there are other checks in the game.

Yeah, Ares was bad. I swear, like half the games I joined people were like "you dont have gringo man do you? if ya do then we cant play." I even came accross a serial number generator for Ares. People really don't like supporting Ambrosia.
I hope the new reg code system is harder on pirates than the old one was...
