*徘 Bug!!

I have a G4/450 (single processor) w/ OS 9.04 and a StarMaxx 3000/180. When I try to play Ares multi with them (ethernet connection) I cannot play anything on beta 6 or 1.1.1. It USED to work OK, but now just doesn't. The first time I try to play, I get an type 2 error once both players enter. If I try again without rebooting the (machine that serves as the) server, the other machine cannot connect to host. Also, I cannot play any single player in 1.1.1 (even if I drag the scenerios file to the application), and cannot play regular sp in 1.2.0b6 if I don't drag factory scenerios onto the app (that started when I starte playing 3rd party scenarios - specificly Iron Fist 1.03).

BTW some of my backgrounds seem to be dissappearing from "Appearance", and EV won't play any sounds on the main screen. Are these related? They started after I installed beta6, (the most recent background vanished right after I rebooted after a multi attempt today) so you tell me.

Try reinstalling your system software. I might help. Might. Or, kill the Ares prefs.
