i know I must be several years behind the rest of you but I still run MacOS 7.5.5 happily on an old performa. Please remember that MacOS 7.5.5 doesn't have appearance manager (part of macos8), which means i cannot use HERA. Eeep, Help me someone - i can run that ares beta but not Hera. Can someone please help (don't tell me to upgrade i cannot - well not for a month or two anyhow). :eek:

I dont know what the problem is. I downloaded the new ares beta/hera but it doesnt work. The ares part does, the herea part does not. it comes up with a message saying it may be damaged or the file may not work on this computer. im running on a 68040 quadra with OS 8.1.. can anyone help?
Is Hera out? Where can I get it?
