This is a good point; it applies to me too, to some extent. Course, M:Inv keeps me around here too. And that silly Ares Chronicles topic. (Counts: 3 friends before ASW)

Ah, yes MInv. Is it too much to ask that you work on it some? I'd like to finish it before I graduate college.
That's probably a little harsh. Let's say I'm "just kidding."
And try again.
C'mon Pallas, we need you to work on it some. Ah, less harsh.

I was wondering why I hadn't heard much from you guys this week. I managed to build a couple more models and a website, and suddenly you dissapeared for the week.
Pyro: Actually, I don't find it weird. You should have seen the old days, when the only "computers" where whitless 'scribes' and I was a council member. How simple things were. But that was some time ago.

I mainly just tend the bar. Every so often I make a post somewhere else.

I think that the bar should be closed down. For ages, I didn't come here because every new post was going to be in that ****less waste of time (I thought)
I come here occasionally when I have nothing to do. Hopefully I will just curb my visits to the other boards in the future (like bnb and just chat.) It's interesting reading material.

Yeah, I'm in that category. There's some good memories floating around this place that make it worth the while to stick around. That, and you don't have to put up with nearly as much nonsense here as you do when you walk out the door.
I think I somehow got rusted into the boards. Leaving them just doesn't seem a possibility, unless my life takes a sudden unforseen twist (like being pressganged into the Navy and serving on a ship without any connection to the outside world, or perhaps a sudden EMP blast over Eastern Australia, or...)

does anyone else here miss the old days? or is it just me? I mean seriously, this place used to rock out.

Depends on how you define "old." Even though I was an immature idiot when I first showed up around here, I do think those times were rather enjoyable.
------------------ "I hate that! Your answers are always short, precise, and utterly useless!" "Yes."
I miss some of the older members, like Newt, Pax, Vegeta, Cotton Mouse, and a host of others that no are longer around... and I still can't shake the feeling that anyone who registered after 2000 is "new to the boards."
I miss the activity too, although I'd rather see the community enlarged before there's any increase in activity. Of course, with Ares being a dated Classic game, I doubt that many more people are going to arrive.

Yeah, like Zeta: Registered: Jan 100

Ahh... I may not have been the first to notice, but I was most definitely the first to repeat. That's gotta count for something.

Was that before they invented fire or afterwards?
