Talon and I have been trying to play an internet game for a while now and it won't work. He says "Host name is invalid" but I know it's right. And when I try to join a network game. Ares quits on me. Why?

I used to have this same problem at Game Ranger. The only solution I found was to let the other player host, and for me to join. It always worked for me that way, but I could never host without Ares quiting on me. Anyhow, hope that helps.

Yeah but when I try to join, Ares quits and when I host Talon can't join.
Are either of you behind a firewall?(a router for example)

I am but I turn it off when we (try to)play. Do you think my proxy has something to do with it?
I have no firewall, as there is no data on this machine worth protecting...
How are Ares net games set up, anyway? Are the server name requests routed to 1 ambrosia or GR server or what?
