I haven't been around this board for a long time, and I was wondering about a few things I've seen.
1. What IS an RPG? I've heard about them, and I don't exactly understand them. Please try to clarify for me.
2. I saw a while ago I saw a thing that had to do with "The Starlance". What was that?

The (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum11/HTML/000136.html")conflict(/url) is the current stage of the RPG, you can read it if you want or go back in time to the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum11/HTML/000079.html")buildup(/url), the building up of the plot before the conflict (makes sense :)).

1. Role Playing Game (If you ask me, we should have Role Playing Stories on the boards ;))

Neither am I, yet I did it anyway. hint Be polite in your email and don't ask repeatedly in it, just once or twice will do.
I didn't even ask, I just waited until everybody was at the bar(in the story) and sort of hinted that I was looking for a mission, then it just sort of took off. I thought it was too big to get into then, but the next thing I know I'm blowing up my ship and being captured by trans-dimensional space terrorists(read the buildup)

Gameranger? I, uh, don't know how to do Gameranger. What is it?
Well, he could create an empire that is backwater enough that it is ignored(look at thrid world countries now, well, ok, back in the sixties when there were superpowers, or even better look at the world during colonial times, you could be the next Dutch trading empire!)
I guess you're right. Don't give yourself anything too big, though.
