I'm glad to have that tool in my arsenal now, thank you Guy. I have yet to use it, however, and I employed a different way of getting absurd numbers of escorts.
Here's a picture from when I had 20 Javelin and 20 Krypt Pod escorts and was flying a Krypt Pod:
And here is a pilot with a much, much different setup. This is pilot is not what's in the picture, and was not made by decrypting the pilot file. Seeing is believing. Enjoy.

Sometimes, Qaanol, I think you just laugh at us from behind your username.
Heh, was that done using Jacabyte's suggestion with deployed fighters, or something similar? It does look funny when you hit opt+C
Well, I can run pilotcrypt just fine, but I have absolutely no idea how to use the hex editor on it. I'm also not positive that the pilotcrypt file is working (I get a 'process completed' line in Terminal) because the Npil resource looks very much similar to the way that it does before running pilotcrypt. Basically, I have no idea what to to with hex data. Anyone have some reading I can do on it to educate myself?
(edit) Pilot format now available from my site (link in sig)
