yes. thats the point I am trying to model that style of ship.

also, technically they are not docks. they're drydocks as in ships w are being built there. (It's not called Aether shipyards for nothing ;))

I will try making 4 big ones, and 4 small ones. I tried the double decker idea, and it just looked strange.

Hmm... now that you mention it, the double-decker idea sounds slightly strange.

The mysterious alien makes me think of ID4(Independence Day the sci fi movie).

The render's a little dark, overall - it could use a bit of contrast and a few brighter areas. I love the model, though.

Hey Yoda, I just saw a little problem with the splash screen on your website gallery... the little phrase on the bottom reads "Ignorance Is B L iss". I think the "L" should be lowercase.

in fact, I have to redo a lot of the things on my site especially the gallery.

How about you design it with the drydocks on one level, and a much smaller (vertically thinner) level with some kind of system for ships to dock at, so they don't land where the other ships aren't being built...
