I am playing World of ChaOs with a conjuror with Trinity, DiD and Spells Expander loaded. I seem to be unable to start any of the quests that begin the WoC plugin and do not know how to do so. I don't know what other information might be helpful, but I have found Faylesee's vault and spoken with him. He has given me information on accessing certain areas and I have done that as well. Any help would be appreciated.

World of Chaos begins when ALL major quests in SE are completed. There are still some to do yet if you are the Conjurer and have only cleared the vault. Once you have cleared a few more tasks, Fayleese should ask for help.
Also, don't stop playing SE until you get the SoL. It will take a lot of brain-wracking, but trust me, it's worth it.

I already have the SoL, but have yet to figure out how to start the action of WoC. I don't want exact details but perhaps a couple of hints would help get me off in the right direction. Thanks
Keep going back to Fayleese. When you have done all the quests for SE, Fayleese will then ask for your help again. That is the start of the WoC plugin.

I have returned to Fayleese countless times and all he ever tells me about is the vault. I have been there and done that already. Where I seem to be stuck is figuring out what remains to be done in SE. I have not been able to get any hints from other characters in the game as far as how to progress nor is there a journal to nudge me in the right direction. Any ideas of where to begin looking would be appreciated.
Thanks to all in advance for any hints...

It seems like the quest which you have not done is "recover the Tome of Warfare." If this is true, how much of a hint do you need? This involves using the conjurer's art of deception to get into someplace where you are not normally welcomed. All hints about this will tend to be vague unless some nut comes along to spill the beans.

The tome of warfare quest has already been accomplished, and the exchage of items with those persons has already occured. Perhaps a hint in another direction.
You can't get the elusive SoL without getting the tome of war and gaining access to...well, I can tell you for sure he's finished all the quests. You could try leaving the well, coming back, and talking to him again. He should start you off on this first WoC quest.

darebak, if Fayleese is still not talking to you about some new help, I'd be willing to take a look at your game file and find out (if I can) what seems to be missing. You could email a saved game to me at rduck@optonline.net if you would like.
You didn't, by chance, refuse this quest once, did you? Because if you turn down Fayleese's plea for help you don't get another chance. The way around that is to remove WoC from your active plugins, save a game without WoC active, and then make WoC active again. It's worth a try.
I have tried going back to Faylesee several dozen times and to no avial....I seem to be lost

I'll try this and if it doesn't work will e-mail you the game. Thanks for the help.
I seem to be unable to deselect the WoC plugin at startup because when I do so the game will not load. I get an error sound and it looks like a dialogue box is trying to appear but nothing comes up and the game freezes. I have to use control+option+esc to get it to respond and when I try loading it again the same thing happens. Any ideas?
Edit
When I have WoC selected from the plugin menu the game loads normally.

Wow. Something is wrong there, for sure. Send me your game file and I'll see if I can save it.
Hi darebak. I have recieved your game file and on reaching Dernath, the first thing I noticed was that a statue of me had been errected in the town near the fountain. This told me right away that this character has already played through WoC and completed the final quest.
I then re-opened this file without WoC checked and had no trouble getting Fayleese to ask for help. I am sending you back the game all set to play WoC through from the start. BTW, I also noticed that you did not pick up one of the spells which is available. (HINT) Fayleese will tell you about a ship which is wrecked somewhere off the southwest coast. It might be worth looking for. (/HINT)
Let me know if you still have problems. ~RD

The weird effect you get when you load without WoC is a dialog box saying "Plug-in not loaded," or something along those lines. Press enter and the game will load without the plug-in. For some reason, the dialog box is there, but doesn't appear. It got me for a while, too.

I have been wondering what the heck that was for quite a while. Thanks for letting me know what it was.
