I have begun PoG for a second time, and still experience the same problem consistently; when exploring the Plains of Endless Winds, PoG "unexpectedly quits". I have not experienced this anywhere else. I am using OS X 2.8 in my 500 mhz iMac and have 640 megs in RAM. Am I going to have to simply stay out of the Plains, or does someone have a solution? Has anyone else else experienced this? Thanks for any response. This board has been very helpful.

OK, first make sure you have PoG 1.0.2. No, you cannot stay out of the plains, you must go there to finished the game. Does this happen when you are already in the plains, or when you are entering a different map from within. And did this happen once, or have you tried several times? Try going in from a different map. Also, you could post the same thing on the Help on the Way web board. David Dunham might have a better suggestion.

I have had PoG quit countless times in the Plains of Endless Winds. It did not happen every time I went from screen to screen but it did happen very often. What I would suggest is that when you are in the Plains you save the game every time you move from one screen to another. This way if the game quits you don't lose too much gameplay. When I did this and reloaded the game most of the time I could get to the next screen without having the game quit again.
I would suggest that anytime you are in or near the Plains now or at a later point in the game, you save the game every screen. I many times forgot and paid the price of 20-30 minutes of "wasted time" because I did not save frequently enough.

I have the updated version. As you recommended, it has worked to save at each screen change. In doing that, I did not even experience any "quits". Thanks for the tip. Onward!
