How do I get it to work?
I've added some governments to my plug, but I'm unsure of how to get the "generic government hails" to work. So um what do I need to do?
P.S. the governments have ID #s 211-215
The Nova Bible (in the "Patching STR# Resources" section) says Govt-specific greetings for comm dialog are located in "10000-12559 (first 10 for govt -1, second 10 for govt 0, third 10 for govt 1, etc.)".
Thus for gövt 211, you need to replace the 213th set of ten STR# resources - i.e. resources 12120 to 12129. And so forth. (If I've messed up in my math somewhere, I'm sure someone will correct me shortly.)
That doesn't seem to work the generic gov. hails for the game are stored in id's 7000-7043. Is the Nova Bible wrong?
No, this is a case of me getting the str and the str# resources mixed up again. The government hails are in str# 7000 onwards, or in str 10000 onwards. 'Tis good to know the difference between them.
