I am a novice with RPGs. How do I move about in the tunnels? I enter, I see a map of passages, but I can do no more. So far, I have not been able ot complete any quests. I wander about. Thanks for any tips offered.

Hi DanOh. Welcome to the boards. The tunnel entrances are usually one or two squares removed from the location they indicate. You have just "activated" your first. You need to activate another one to be able to use them. I suspect you have gone in the Fantrima tunnel entrance. When you find another, you can jump from that new one back to the Fantrima tunnel entrance. It will allow you to move around on the map much faster as the game progresses. When you have opened all the tunnel entrances, go back to Fantrima and look for a man near the fountain who will pay you 500 gold pieces for making the tunnels functional again.
Since you are just starting out, here are some tips: Go one square south of Fantrima and talk to the Commander of the Royal Guards, Septemris. In Fantrima, find the Mayor, Vortec (sp?). Also find a frantic lady named Moon, and speak with Mary Krystina. Then do the quest for Moon (about her lost son) and return to Septemris. At that point, head north out of Fantrima and your game will be on its way to some great adventures. Good luck with it. ~RD
