...about plug conversion
Having recently decided, based on the advice of various people, to get the much-vaunted Ship-Variants plug, I discovered that I seem to have a bug. Due to running a PC, I had to first get Stuffit, and then convert the produced files. As some anonymous donater to the Darwin Awards said, somewhere, something went terribly wrong. Let me run through the chain of events.
1. Extract the .sitx.hqx file using the "MacBinary Fork Encoding" option. 2. Go into newly created folder and extract the .bin file (also using MBFE). 3. From that, I get two files: "._Ship Variants 1.0.6" and "Ship Variants 1.0.6". 4. Dragging either or both onto 'Convert Plug-Ins.exe' produces a very brief DOS screen (too brief to read). Thanks to some very nice timing with the old Print Screen button (preens), I found out what the screen said: Cannot open (file name). Done!
Have any other PC users encountered this? If so, does anyone know a cure? For additional information, I'm running XP Pro, and the Stuffit is (checks) Allume Systems StuffIt Standard (demo).
Thanks, guys.
The .bin file is the one you're supposed to drop onto the converter.
