Hey y'all!
Sorry to pester you again so soon, but I seem to be beatin' my head against a brick wall. Granted, I'm really foggy-headed. Been takin' care of hubby who has the flu + 4 grandsons (the 3 yr. old is diabetic - my daughter, mother of 2, has Multiple Sclerosis; daughter-in-law, mother of diabetic, has Lupus). The game (Trinity w/Spells Expander as a conjuror) is my only outlet..
But I'm stuck.
I've completed all the regular POG quests (except awakening the gardian). I've cleared Fayleese's lab, have a room at the Tower, visited Mage Village several times, spoken with Bernard, checked out rumor after rumor, spoken to everyone I can find ... again and again ... ad infinitum.
Got no new quests. No direction. Just killin' Sea Giants at The Keep's northern-most point to gain experience, gold, blah, blah.
I desperately need something to occupy my mind (what's left of it) right now so if anyone could give me a hint, tip, direction (please e-mail me if you don't wanna give anything away out here) .... I would appreciate it more than you can know.
I know I've missed something, but I don't know what. I've needed gentle nudging in the past, but right now I need a big fat kick in the patoot.
Sorry for the lengthy missive, but I'm really not quite me right now.
Hugs on allayuz, P.

To add to what LifeKinght mentioned, have you "crashed a party?" In other words, have you found a way to go somewhere you were not invited? There's a benefit to be gained by using your conjurer's art of deception.

I thought you had to finish "Spells" before you could do WoC.
I've only done one quest on spells ... clearing Fayleese's lab. And I don't have any 6th level spells - I don't think. Oh, I'm so confuzed!
EDIT: No, I don't have the Staff.
Hugs on ya, P.

No. I'm not aware of any party to which I haven't been invited. And as I said to LK ... I thought you had to finish Spells Expander before you started WoC.
Nor did I know that a conjurer could be deceptive. How? And to whom?
I think I'm gettin' hubby's flu. My head's about to 'splode.
And I apple-ologize for writing personal stuff that has no business being out here. I'm just really not playin' with a full deck right now.
Thanks for tryin' to help Ducky. Pr'aps some of this will sink in when the dust settles and my head clears.
Sorry to be a PITA.
Big hugs on ya, P.
Try getting the Staff of Lordship (SoL), you haven't lived until you have used that baby. Also, have you beaten the game with all 3 classes? Each can have its own rewards. And how many hits does it take for you to kill a Sea Giant? Some have gotten it down to two hits with their bare hands, see if you can match that, or better yet, kill them with one hit!

If you have been to Bernard's room in the Mage Tower AND have found a way to get into the "Vault" then you have officially finished SE. There are some wind-up parts that are not really quests. One of these is obtaining the coveted SoL which some players have not ever found. This has been a closely guarded secret (until recently) and should not be given away on the boards.
If you check the box for the WoC plugin, and Fayleese sends you on a new mission, then you will know the "World of CHa0s" has started. It won't start until the major quests for SE have been done.

Not anymore, Ducky. I'm editing those about the SoL posts out. And yeoldbat, you can use WoC right now. You don't need to do everything in Spells Expander. Just clean Fayleese's lab.
EDIT-To add to what Slav said: see if you get get your strength up enough to kill the <ahem, final foe> (DiD) in one (or two) hits without using any weapons. Bet nobody has ever done that! ------------------ (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum;=Progress+logs&number;=18")The Progress Logs forum.(/url) Visit the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/Forum61/HTML/001202.html")Blue Mushroom Pub!(/url) Laugh so hard your stomach will hurt! Actually yeoldbat, there may be several secrets in PoG standard that you may now have found. Have you:
Found the Divine Lamp
Found and eaten the blue mushroom
Found the Dwarven Runic sword, the Great War Axe of Misery, and the Elven full Plate of armor (free)
Obtained a Ring of the Gods
Explored every map and every cave
Completed the Sapphire plugin
I bet there is a lot more to PoG than you currently think.
And if you do get board with Garendall, I know something that will keep you occupied for a long, long time. (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/evn/")EV Nova.(/url)
Originally posted by LifeKnight: You don't need to do everything in Spells Expander. Just clean Fayleese's lab.
I beg to differ. You have to complete the vault quest in SE before Fayleese will talk about Rock Island. If this were not so, you could never get into the vault. When CHa0s wrote the plugin (which I tested) this was one of the criteria that had to be met because WoC uses the same character as SE and is designed as an extension. The player cannot be doing conflicting quests.
see if you get get your strength up enough to kill the final foe (DiD) in one (or two) hits without using any weapons. Bet nobody has ever done that!:p
Build your strength as high as you wish, but it can't be done. As soon as you choose to fight Ratznest, your strength gets set to 30 and doesn't get set back again until Princess Anne is free. BTW, who's that other one you just mentioned? He's never been talked about on the boards until now. It sure is hard to keep surprises around here.

One of the plugins that you're using has added three new areas, but each character (in a normal game) can only go to one. Spells Expander allows you to visit two of those areas.
Did I give too much (or for that matter, enough) away?

I'm gonna try to reply to all in one post.
Yes, I found all the goodies in the original PoG with no plug-ins. Took 2 hits to kill a Sea Giant.
I finished the original, DiD, Sapphire, Trinity (w/Spells) as a Ranger and am now attempting it as a conjurer.
No. I cannot find the Staff of Lordship. Think I'm SOL where the SoL is concerned. Ah well.
And what RD said about crashing a party and being deceptive .... Great clues once my head de-fogged a bit. 10-Q!
So now I've got a 6th level spell and have access to the vault. I'm gonna go plug-in WoC. And maybe I will get lucky and find the SoL.
Thanks so much to all who responded. You guys are the best.
Hugz on alla yuz, P.

About being SOL, no, you're not. I will only give one more thought on that here. One of the rumors in the Mage Tower states, "Diligence pays off when you are in the Vault." Anything more than that you will have to e-mail me for.
You're welcome. If you haven't done so already, go back to the "party" and have some fun in the arena which they have there. Just don't get caught in there when the spell wears off or you'll find yourself tossed out on your rear without anything but your undies on. (Actually it's a fun scene.) ~RD
By the way, yeoldbat, what does spell expander do for a ranger. i don't want to start a new game all over again(I've got over 1000 strength, 400 dexterity, 650 luck, and once my upgrade is done i will have over 1000 HP and all of this with 0 cheats).

I am no longer SOL!!!!!!! But those nasty critters out there are!

Didn't get caught in my undies, but building up exp. points so easily was very cool! Wish there had been more nasties to fight. Yeah, I collected one for him, but it barely seems worth the effort.
Now I'm off to slay big booger giants with my SoL. When I get tired of that, I'll work some more on tryin' to find Rock Island(?). Yeah, I know I've gotta switch back in order to get where I'm tryin' to go, but in the mean time, I wanna have some Sol fun!
Thanks again, Ducky. You're a sweetie!
Big hugs on ya, P. PS It's neat trying to speak cryptically. This board just adds more fun to the game as well as helping out the "PoGally Challenged".

Oh dear, Kid! You're asking someone with a memory the size of a pea.
Please someone ... correct me and/or add to this for KrayzKid.
I, too, had huge stats when I started from scratch as a Ranger. I used one of the cheat plug-ins to get some speed, but otherwise, I played it straight. A few interesting new areas were opened up, but I can't tell you if it's worth the effort. I needed the mental distraction.
Make a new file and try it on for size. Just don't lose your existing character. If it's not worth it to you then don't do it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I've saved my previous characters. Played DiD and Sapphire as my original. Fully intend to replay them as both Ranger and Conjurer - just for the halibut!
Wish I could be more helpful.
One thing I forgot .... Big congrats on your tremendous stats! Way to go, KK!!!
Hugs, P.
Spells Expander does not add anything for Rangers. The only thing you can do is clean Fayleese's Lab and earn 1000 gp.
Originally posted by KrayzKid: By the way, yeoldbat, what does spell expander do for a ranger.
You get to clear out Fayleese's lab. Then it's over (but you can start WoC). And if you are a swordsman, you get to clear out the lab and be a diplomat in the war between swordsmen and conjurors. Then you can start WoC.
By the way, have you played Damsels in Distress yet? If not, then download it. It will give you much more gameplay.

The first topic KrazyKid posted was about DiD. So yes, he does have it.
