So I'm at the cave in the western part of the map, but the banner isn't there. Am I in the wrong place? I don't have enough potions to go exploring, becuase those dark spirits have a way of adding up. Any suggestions? I'm trying to complete the Knights missions.

The question is which map? If you have just gone through a crypt with two doors to get there, you're on the wrong map. The banner isn't in a cave anyway, it's lying on the ground. It happens to be near a cave entrance in High Garendall. You'll know you're there after you zigzag back and forth up the face of a mountain.

Okay, it's not in the cave, you'll need something in the cave later on, but try at the bottonb left side of the two high garendal maps.
