Help on control bits!

Help!

I can't seem to make the mission bits, control bits, ect. work. I've gone mostly by trial and error so far, but after re-installing EV Nova 5 times and being ordered to only work on a CD too, I need to learn as I have finally nearly completed a very large plug involving several large plugs and a dozen of my small plugs all together. Mine are only wepons and several systemsm, spobs, and other non or low bit use additions. By the way also how far is +1 or minus one on a map. I am in need of a lot of information. (I use EVNEW only.) Any information will save my computer much woe and me, well lets just I will be ****.

**** (no word yet invented for the ammount of gratitude I would have!)

There could be any number of reasons why NCB's (Nova Control Bits) might not work, depending on what you are trying to use them for. Are you using them for missions? Are you trying to switch one system with another? Are you working with ship/outf Availability bits? With that question answered, what is the exact problem that you are having?

Check the important links topic. There's help on bits there.

The mission bits not working are not the problem, I don't much understand how they work. The other qustion on maps is just is there an easier way of placeing systems on windows Rez. format.

EVN Cartograper. Search these forums for a post by Aprosenf with 'cartographer' in it. You should find the topic. You'll need to install the .NET Framework from Windows Update.

I can't find it! 😞 Could you give me a link to it? Please. 😄

Well a search for "Cartographer" revealed this topic on the first page.

Yes I know. I went there, clicked on the link, and I went to a blank page called:

If you were to look at the URL, you'd see it is not a standard format. Delete the period and the first http:// and the " and you're golden.

You'll find that on all links posted prior to the board update.

 😮 😞 <_< 🙂 😄
