Just found this and thought how much I could have used it when last I tried my hand at plugin development. It's called xyzzy, and its intended purpose is the creation of random but pronounceable passwords for those who want security but don't want to have to remember random letters and numerals. The results I've been getting seem better to me than what I remember from the EV name generators already available, so give it a try if you're looking for inspiration.

From the sample in the web page, they indeed seem very adaptated to naming Nova stuff (ships, planets, systems, weird people, weird aliens, weirdness).
It's a nice idea, though it's not something I'd use. I myself prefer to create just like that.
That thing really does work. I might use it. As an added bonus, since the chances of two words generated by this program to be the same are vurtually nil, you could tell if someone is ripping stuff of your work.
First five words generated: corstibl, furretes, foralari, foralari, ousnerel. Ideas, ideas, ideas.

Well so much for not getting two words the same.
